I didn't read it until your dad had since it was especially for him. He asked me to reply for him. He said: "Thanks, Rosanne, for the nice letter. I also enjoyed those times teaching you gardening, etc. But I also even raised 3 wonderful daughters." Rosanne, I know your letter did him more good than any card you could have bought with someone else's words. These came from your heart. I also enjoyed it. Any time anyone does something for him and especially you girls, I appreciate it. He's been sketching again. In fact, that's what he's doing now. It's strange you mentioned the chipmunk. We were at Becky's today for Hannah's birthday, talking about the squirrels eating the birds' seeds and your dad was talking about that chipmunk on our back porch filling his jaws with the seeds that were meant for the birds. We talk often and tell others about how we spent our vacations at State parks, walking through woods, etc. Great memories and, as you said, things you girls can pass on to our grandchildren.
